The 2023 IATUR conference invites abstracts for papers that deal with any aspect of time-use research, including but not limited to:

  • Gender inequalities in use of time
  • Sociodemographics of time allocation
  • Work, health, safety and labour relations policies
  • Telework and relationships with time allocation
  • Digitisation, information technology and impacts on allocation of time
  • Perceptions on time use, free time and time crunch
  • Time use and public services
  • Time use policy evaluation at the local level
  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and time use policies
  • Time use and its links to energy consumption and energy transition
  • Time use research methodologies
  • Time use surveys design and implementation
  • Time use for program or public policy evaluation
  • COVID-19 impact on time use
  • Others

Please indicate the theme of your abstract submission. If your abstract does not fit under any of these topics, please submit it under “Others” category.

 

Please submit your abstract online through the IATUR CRM. Abstracts should include:

  • Presentation title
  • Type of presentation (oral presentation or poster)
  • The name of the presenting author
  • The names of all other authors
  • Abstract (250–350 words)

The early deadline for submitting abstracts is 31 May, 2023; submitters who meet this deadline will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection by 15 June, 2023, and are guaranteed their choice of oral presentation or poster session. The final deadline for submitting abstracts for guaranteed consideration of oral and poster presentations is 31 July, 2023; submitters who meet this deadline will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection by 15 August, 2023. Where possible, we will try to include papers in the oral presentation sessions if authors so wish, but we make no guarantee for placement of abstracts submitted after the early deadline. All presenters (both oral and poster) should register and pay conference fee by 15 September, 2023 for guaranteed inclusion of their presentation in the program.
