ABOUT CORFU

Corfu (Kerkyra in Greek), the second largest island in the Ionian Sea, is a very popular Greek destination. Attracting many visitors from all over the world, the island is renowned for its distinctive architecture and culture that sets it apart from other Greek islands. Corfu’s old town is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, described a “fortified Mediterranean port town of high integrity and authenticity”. While you are here, you can enjoy walks at the Spianada Square, visit the Old Fortress, the Achilleion Museum and Mon Repos. Corfu is also one of Greece’s greenest islands, with many beautiful beaches and hiking trails for visitors to discover.

October is a very nice time to visit the island: you can expect less crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere, and benefit from lower accommodation and flight costs. The weather is likely to be on our side too: Corfu has a Mediterranean climate, with an average temperature of 23 degrees in October. It is a particularly good time of the year to swim too, with water temperatures at 22 degrees.
