Starting March 20, 2025, we will be accepting submissions for posters, research presentations, roundtable discussions, and organised sessions for the Johannesburg conference. All submissions will be peer reviewed.
When submitting for poster sessions or research presentations, the submission should include:
· Presentation title
· Type of presentation (oral presentation or poster)
· The name of the presenting author
· The name of all other authors
· Abstract (250–350 words maximum)
To help us group content into relevant sessions, please specify one of these topic areas when submitting your abstract on this website.
· Innovations in Time Use Data Collection and Analysis
· Gender and Time Use: Addressing Inequalities
· Work, Leisure, and Well-being
· Care Work and Policy Development
· Time Use and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
· Education, Health, and Time Use
· Comparative Time Use Research
· Time Use in the Digital Age
· Post-Pandemic Time Use and Adaptations
· Youth, Aging, and Intergenerational Time Use
· Any other issues related to time use and policy.
If your abstract does not fit under any of these topics, please submit it under “Any other issues…” category.
For organised sessions, submissions with between 3-4 presenters/paper will be considered. When submitting for an organised session, the submission should include the following:
· Session title
· A brief description of the session (about 100-200 words) and how it fits into the conference theme
· Name of the session facilitator
· Presentation title for each paper included in the session
· The name of the presenting author for each paper to be presented in the session
· The name of all other authors for each paper included in the session
· Abstract for each paper included in the session (250–350 words maximum)
For roundtable discussions, the submission should include the following:
· Roundtable title
· A brief description of the roundtable topic and how it fits into the conference theme and what it aims to achieve (e.g., fostering dialogue, sharing experiences, or exploring emerging topics) (300-500 words)
· Name of the roundtable facilitator
· Description of what the roundtable is (e.g., interactive, discussion-based)
