This year’s conference theme will be Time Use Research in a Changing World: Innovations, Inequalities, and Policy Implications

Through keynotes and highlight sessions, the conference organisers hope to address growing importance of time use research for policy debate, formation and implementation. They further hope to gather prospective insights about how innovations in time use and its link to policy has gained traction in recent decades, particularly in relation to topics such as the four-day work week and reduced working hours, how technological advancements have facilitated innovative time use data collection methods, and how discussions on time use have furthered through the Sustainable Development Goals and the introduction of light time diaries.

More generally, the conference will host time use researchers, professionals and students from around the world on themes related to advances in methodological and data collection tools, comparative analyses between country policies and on classic thematic analyses related to this broad field of research. These include, but are not limited to:

·       Innovations in Time Use Data Collection and Analysis

·       Gender and Time Use: Addressing Inequalities

·       Work, Leisure, and Well-being

·       Care Work and Policy Development

·       Time Use and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

·       Education, Health, and Time Use

·       Comparative Time Use Research

·       Time Use in the Digital Age

·       Post-Pandemic Time Use and Adaptations

·       Youth, Aging, and Intergenerational Time Use

·       Any other issues related to time use and policy.
