CALL FOR ABSTRACTS 2019 IATUR DC

 

 

 

The 2019 IATUR conference, hosted by American University’s School of Public Affairs in Washington, DC, invites abstracts for papers that deal with any aspect of time-use research, including but not limited to:

 

  • communicating time-use research findings to the public
  • history of time-use surveys
  • collection methods of time use surveys
  • big data and machine learning applications to time-use data
  • empirical analyses of time-use data
  • using time-use data to inform and evaluate social policy
  • well-being and time-use
  • societal trends in time use
  • visualization of time-use data and research findings
  • time-use research methodology (quantitative methods, modeling, analytical approaches)
  • or any other paper related to time-use research [other]

 

Please indicate the theme of your abstract submission. You may also list additional themes and up to four keywords.

 

Please submit your abstract online through the IATUR CRM. Abstracts should include:

 

  • Presentation title
  • Type of presentation (oral presentation or poster)
  • The name of the presenting author
  • The name of all other authors
  • Abstract (250–350 words)

The early deadline for submitting abstracts is 10 March 2019; submitters who meet this deadline will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection by 31 March 2019 and are guaranteed their choice of oral presentation or poster sessions. The final deadline for submitting abstracts for guaranteed consideration of oral and poster presentations is 10 May 2019; submitters who meet this deadline will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection by 31 May 2019. Where possible, we will try to include papers in the oral presentation sessions if authors so wish, but we make no guarantee for placement of abstracts submitted after the early deadline. Deadlines for financial support, cancellation refunds, and early, lower-rate registration are final.
